Snackin' Rice Cakes

Need a quick snack before a workout? Or an easy snack to munch on at work? I gotchu! Below I've added a recipe that has all the nutrients you need for a quick snack!


Here is what you'll need...

  • 2 rice cakes (choose whatever brand/flavor you like. I use Quaker lightly salted.)

  • *About 2 tbsp hummus (any brand/flavor you like. I make my own)

  • Cucumber or your choice of raw vegetable

  • 1 hard-boiled egg

  • 2 pinches everything bagel seasoning (optional)

Here is what you'll do...

  1. Gather ingredients.

  2. Slice cucumber so you have 4 slices. Slice egg so you have 4-6 slices. Set aside.

  3. Spread hummus on rice cakes. Don't go light, this stuff is yummy!

  4. Add 2 slices of cucumber and 2-3 slices of egg on each rice cake. Top with everything bagel seasoning & enjoy.


Change it up! Try peanut butter with apple or cream cheese and sliced salmon & tomato. The key is to add a protien spread and vegatable toppings. This way you're getting the nutrients and energy you need to sustain a workout or afternoon slump.
